Victor Ponta a vizitat Azerbaidjanul

Iată ce comunică presa din Azerbaidjan despre această scurtă dar importantă vizită:

„Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta has arrived in Azerbaijan for an official visit. At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Romanian PM was welcomed by Azerbaijan`s deputy Premier Elchin Afandiyev and other officials. Victor Ponta and Elchin Afandiyev had a brief talk in the airport`s VIP lounge.

 

Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta has visited the Alley of Honours to lay a wreath at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev. The Romanian Prime Minister also visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity.

He laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

 

Prime Minister of Romania Victor Ponta has already completed his official visit to Azerbaijan.A guard of honor was lined up for the Prime Minister at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport decorated with the national flags of the two countries. Victor Ponta was seen off by Azerbaijan`s Deputy Prime Minister Elchin Afandiyev and other officials.”

Dacă nu mă înșel, e prima vizită a premierului actual în Azerbaidjan. Investițiile acestei țări în România sînt extrem de importante și toate eforturile diplomatice în acest sens sînt justificate. În acest context nu cred că mai are rost să subliniez cît de deplasate sînt îngîmfările celor care cred că ar trebui să ne ținem departe de zona Caucazului în general și de Azerbaidjan în special. O asemenea atitudine este, pentru a folosi cel mai blînd termen, iresponsabilă.
